Bacillus cereus sensu lato: where are we headed?

Professor Mahillon will share his extensive experience and provide insights into the genetic and ecological variations of B. cereus and related species. He will discuss the implications for public health, food safety and microbiological research.
Research focus:
- Genetic and genomic plasticity of the Bacillus cereus group
- Development of strategies for the biocontrol of foodborne and plant pathogens
- Involvement in various national and international research councils and institutions
(ANR, ESA, EFSA, ISF, IFS)
- Participation in cooperative projects with countries including Benin, Bolivia, China,
Cuba, Ecuador, Lebanon, Russia, Tunisia, and Vietnam
- Co-authored over 220 publications
