Looking for a Part-Time Student Assistant LMU München – Chair of Food Safety and Analytics
As part of my DFG-funded habilitation project, I am seeking a part-time student assistant to conduct swarming assays (bacterial surface motility) using Transposon Insertion Sequencing (Tn-seq) in Listeria monocytogenes. This project aims to deepen our understanding of bacterial motility at the molecular level, and the data generated will contribute to international scientific publications.
Tasks and Responsibilities under my supervision:
- Implementation of planned swarming assays
- Preparation of experimental setups, conducting experiments, and data collection
- Preparation of sequencing (NGS) libraries
Working Hours:
- 6 hours per week, for a total of 6 months
- 442.47 Euro gross per month
Candidate Profile:
- Students with an interest in laboratory techniques, microbiology, and molecular biology
This project will contribute to elucidating the molecular mechanisms of bacterial motility and will provide the student assistant with the opportunity to gain valuable research experience in a professional laboratory environment.
